'R' Is For Renewed: Netflix Sets 'F Is for Family' Season 3

Looks like we'll be spending a little more time getting to know The Murphys as Netflix has renewed their animated comedy series F Is For Family for a third season. The series was created by Michael Price (The Simpsons) and Bill Burr (Breaking Bad), who tweeted the news of the renewal on Wednesday saying, "Really happy to announce there will be a season 3 of FIFF. Thanks to everyone for watching! @netflix #FIsForFamily #gaumontTV"

'R' Is For Renewed: Netflix Sets 'F Is for Family' Season 3

F Is For Family follows the day-to-day adventures of The Murphys, an Irish-American family living in the 's during a time when "political incorrectness" ruled the day. Burr voices family patriarch Frank, a disillusioned, short-tempered, Korean War veteran and father of three. The remaining cast includes: Laura Dern (Wild at Heart) as Sue, housewife and Plast-a-Ware saleswoman; Justin Long (Pineapple Express) as Kevin, older son and juvenile delinquent with potential; Debi Derryberry (voice, Sailor Moon Crystal) as Maureen, youngest daughter and "princess" who's smart enough to hide her dark side; Haley Reinhart (American Idol) as Bill, youngest son who is skinny, shy and often bullied; and Sam Rockwell (Moon) as Vic, Frank's wealthy, womanizing neighbor.

Burr also executive produces the series with Vince Vaughn, Peter Billingsley and Price, who also serves as showrunner. Wild West Television's Michael Lagnese and Victoria Vaughn are co-executive producers on the series. F Is For Family Season 5 Release Date, Cast, And Plot - What We Know So Far

Season 4 of F is for Family was released on June 12, , giving fans plenty of time to wonder about the show's future before the official announcement of season 5. A month before that release, FIFF WRITERS (a social media account run by Michael Price on behalf of the writing team) tweeted that they are hopeful for a season 5 and ready to get started as soon as Netflix renews the show.

Then, on Oct. 1, , came the official announcement: Season 5 is coming. As mentioned, it was also announced that this would be the show's final season. This is almost expected, as Netflix tends to provide around this many seasons for adult animated shows. The longest-running adult animated series on Netflix is BoJack Horseman, with six seasons. "Working on this show with the great Bill Burr, Vince Vaughn, and our amazing cast, writers, producers, and crew has been the greatest joy of my life, and I'm thrilled that we get to do one more season with the Murphys," said Price.

Unfortunately, there is no official release date yet. There's also no word as to how many episodes will be included, but based on previous seasons, it's safe to assume that there will be anywhere between eight and ten episodes.

The good news, however, is that season 5 writers are already busy finishing up the finale. On Oct. 2, a day after the announcement, the FIFF writing team tweeted themselves on a zoom call, signaling that they had already begun production. On top of that, Price revealed in an interview with Forbes that production hasn't slowed down much due to the pandemic.

F is for Family Season 3: Everything We Know So Far

F is for Family &#; Courtesy of Netflix

F is for Family is the animated sitcom on Netflix starring Bill Burr and it&#;s coming back for season 3! We&#;re just weeks away from season 3 dropping on Netflix. Here&#;s the latest on everything we know about the upcoming season of F is for Family including its release date, plot news, behind the scenes and any casting changes.

Most of this article is going to be comprised of information from the official writers Twitter account which is by far one of the best Twitter accounts for Netflix shows. They regularly release snippets of information about the next season plus they&#;re also super friendly, go say hi!

This is the final update to the preview of F is for Family before it releases on Netflix for November 30th.

Season 1 & 2 Recap

Head back to the s with the Murphy family in seasons 1 and 2 of the show where we see the day to day life of Frank Murphy and his wife, Sue Murphy. The pair lives in a working middle-class area with Sue being a housewife and Frank working at the local airport. The pair is at constant odds with each other as they battle with their three kids, their nosey neighbours and most importantly, Frank&#;s awful boss. The show has many throwbacks to those who grew up in the &#;70s but is also relatable enough for anyone who was born later.

mynewextsetup.us?v=HFzrvMS6P8g

Season 2 saw Frank hit an all-time low having lost his job and having to sign-on. After a crappy part-time job, Frank is eventually needed back at the airport where his replacement has gone rogue. We end the series at the airport with Scoop&#;s body parts literally everywhere. Also in season 2, we saw Kevin lose his virginity and also is propelled to stardom thanks to his band.

Sue is struggling to remain at Plast-a-Ware and run the household which leads to the couple getting therapy at a somewhat unconventional location. Overall, season 2 was a pretty tough season for the Murphy&#;s and that is likely going to continue into season 3.

Frank is held as a hostage at the airport in season 2 finale

What&#;s going to happen in season 3?

Thanks to a myriad of news releases, trailers and teases by the writers behind the show, we know what&#;s going to be happening throughout season 3. The season will begin in the summer with new neighbours joining the street where Frank and co live. It just so happens that one of the new neighbours is an old friend of Franks. The pair hit it off again and off they go on adventures.

Elsewhere, Bill Murphy is likely falling in love for the first time at high school. Kevin is failing at school and Sue Murphy is slowly rising up at her job.

Where is season 3 in development?

Status: Complete &#; ready for release!

Back in late June, we spoke to the co-creator and writer of F is for Family Michael Price to ask about any snippets of information about season 3. Back then, Michael told us how they were entering into the early writing stages for season 3. Fast forward a few weeks into July, the team were already celebrating their first table read, as pictured below.

Slowly, week by week we knew of more episodes that had been drafted and what&#;s most surprising, is how they were already recording for the early episodes early on in the writing process. Slowly we&#;ve seen drafts and pictures of the team in the recording studio ever since. On October 12th, the season 3 finale table read happened which concluded the writing stage of season 3. A few weeks later, the finale was being recorded with the actors/actresses so it&#;s likely that all voice acting has now concluded.

On October 21st , the staff team met up for lunch for one last time as production of the show goes into full swing.

frank and pogo f is for family storyboard

In July , the Twitter account reveals that they&#;ve finished four of the 10 upcoming episodes with the last part of the production being the final sound mix.

Fast forward to August , the series is now in its final stages of development. We&#;ve seen storyboards turn into their animated final edits. We&#;ve had snippets of information of the various voice talents entering the studio to lend their voices to their characters.

On August 9th, the Twitter account gave us a look into how they record the dubs for the show. On a large TV screen, they have the episode playing and the actor then voices over that. In this case, Justin Long is calling in via satellite from London.

Casting News

The majority of the cast will be staying the same for season 3 will Bill Burr returning as Frank, Laura Dern as Sue, Justin Long as Kevin, Debi Derryberry as Maureen, Sam Rockwell as Vic and Haley Reinhart.

New cast members include Al Ducharme who will be playing Philip&#;s baby brother Anthony.

Vince Vaughn also joins the cast in season 3. Vince has actually been involved with the series since the first as executive producer but in season 3, he&#;ll also be one of the characters. In season 3, he&#;ll play Chet Stevenson who is a pilot. We know Frank Murphy trained to be a pilot in his early life so this will no doubt be connected to that.

Season 3 Episode Names

We also know most to all of the episode names which could hint at what to expect throughout season 3. We also know who&#;s writing each episode which we&#;ll display below.

  • Episode 1 &#; &#;Are You Ready For The Summer?&#; &#; Written by Eric Goldberg and Peter Tibbals
  • Episode 2 &#; &#;Drive-By&#; &#; Written by David Richardson
  • Episode 3 &#; &#;The Stinger&#; &#; Written by Marc Wilmore
  • Episode 4 &#; &#;Mr. Murphy&#;s Wild Ride&#; &#; Written by Michael Price
  • Episode 5 &#; &#;Battle of the Sexes&#; &#; Written by Emily Towers
  • Episode 6 &#; &#;Punch Drunk&#; &#; Written by Joe Heslinga
  • Episode 7 &#; &#;Summer Vacation&#; &#; Written by Valeri Vaughn
  • Episode 8 &#; &#;It&#;s in his Blood&#; &#; Written by Henry Gammill
  • Episode 9 &#; &#;Frank the Father&#; &#; Written by Bill Burr
  • Episode 10 &#; &#;Bill Murphy&#;s Night Off&#; &#; Written by Michael Price

New Opening Titles for Season 3

In July, it was revealed there&#;d be some new props entering the opening sequence. These flying props will only be on screen for seconds but likely indicate the plot points for the upcoming season.

In the first screen, we can see a pizza box with lights, camera, pizza. We also see a &#;Plast-a-ware&#; box which is from Sue&#;s now ex-company.

In the second screenshot, we see a lifebuoy with the initials R.C.F.D. We did a quick google search and most results were related to fire departments. Could Frank be looking for a new job?

In the final screenshot, you can see a toy box for a game called &#;Carambolage!&#; and a spray of some sort. We have absolutely no idea what these two items are referring to.

When will Season 3 of F is for Family release on Netflix?

We now know that season 3 of F is for Family will release on November 30th as announced alongside the November new releases. A trailer dropped on the same day too.

If you&#;re staying up, you&#;ll have to stay up for AM PST. That roughly translates to 8 AM GMT for those in Europe and 3 AM EST.

Since our first publishing of this article, Netflix has announced a number of new upcoming animated sitcoms and F is for Family sat at the top of our list of animated sitcoms.

Let us know in the comments if you&#;re looking forward to the next season! And before we go, we shall leave you with this GIF. Sorry.

13 new movies and shows to watch this weekend on Netflix, Disney Plus and more

This weekend brings a ton of new movies and TV shows to watch between all the Black Friday deals. There's a bountiful feast of streaming options, and they're spread across Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO Max, Peacock and other services, so you'll have your choice.

The lineup is led by the Hawkeye show, the latest Marvel Studios series to hit Disney Plus series. Jeremy Renner reprises his role as archer Clint Barton, and he’s (reluctantly) got a new protege in Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop.

If you like inspiring training montages, look no further than the MMA flick Bruised, which stars Halle Berry in her directorial debut. Also rounding out the new offerings is the Beatles: Get Back documentary by Peter Jackson. If you wind up wondering "When is the next new Grey's Anatomy episode?," though, you might find yourself a bit disappointed.

Plus, there are new seasons of Hanna, Saved By the Bell, F Is For Family and How to With John Wilson. Here’s our guide on what to watch this weekend.

Hawkeye (Disney Plus)

Marvel’s Disney Plus series have really run the gamut so far, from a sitcom-inspired dissection of grief to a time-traveling adventure/romance. Hawkeye is the first to center on an original Avenger and looks to be their first holiday buddy cop comedy — which should be right up your alley if you consider Die Hard a Christmas movie (as you should).

Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton is in New York City with his family to see the truly unbelievable Captain America musical. There, he runs into his biggest fan, Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), who has learned archery and martial arts to be like him. When some gangsters try to target Barton for his Blip-era Ronin vigilantism, he and Bishop wind up working together. Arrows are fired, banter is exchanged. This holiday season, get two Hawkeyes in one polished MCU package. Check out our full Hawkeye review for more info.

Bruised (Netflix)

‘Tis the season for emotional sports movies. First, we had King Richard. Now, we have this gritty, rousing movie, directed by Oscar winner Halle Berry. She also stars as Jackie Justice, a washed-up and disgraced mixed martial arts fighter. Bruised is a passion project for Berry, who trained in MMA for weeks, and kept filming when she broke two ribs.

Jackie has been out of competition for years, but she decides to give it one more shot in an unsanctioned skirmish against the top female MMA athlete. Jackie’s competitor is both younger and in better shape than she is, so she has to get back into fighting form. And she isn’t just seeking redemption inside the ring. She’s also confronted with the unexpected return of the young son she abandoned as a baby. The fight is a way to prove her worth to the world, to her child and, most of all, herself.

The Beatles: Get Back (Disney Plus)

Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson turns from orcs, elves, and Hobbits to train his lens on something far more epic: the making of The Beatles’ final studio album, Let It Be. The three-part documentary (which drops over three consecutive days) draws from the doc of the album. Jackson had access to over 50 hours of footage and over hours of audio, much of which has never been seen before.

Jackson chronicles how John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr came together to create the album, originally titled Get Back. Unlike the original documentary, Get Back focuses on the band’s friendly camaraderie and joyful musicianship. Jackson has called it a documentary about a documentary. Don’t expect interviews with surviving Beatles McCartney or Starr, though; Jackson wanted viewers to be in the moment, in the room in

Saved By the Bell season 2 (Peacock)

Rrrrrring! School is back in session on Saved By the Bell season 2. Of all the nostalgic reboots in the last few years, this may be the best one — faithful to the original (but not overly so) with smart modernization choices, an appealing cast of new characters and a sprinkling of OG cast members. Most of all, the Saved By the Bell revival doesn’t take itself too seriously.

This year, Daisy (Haskiri Velazquez) is trying to be more like a normal teen but gets sucked back into student council drama. Meanwhile, Bayside is hosting the Southern California school spirit competition and Mac (Mitchell Hoog) hopes it’s a chance to emerge from his father’s shadow. Speaking of his dad, Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) hosts a reunion at the Max with old friends Kelly Morris (Tiffani Thiessen), A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez), Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley) and Lisa Turtle (Lark Voorhies). The only face that’s missing is Screech (RIP Dustin Diamond).

Hanna season 3 (Amazon Prime Video)

The third and final act of the action thriller brings Hanna’s story to a close. The titular teen assassin (Esmé Creed-Miles) is released into the world to take down the shadowy organization Utrax from the inside with the help of unexpected ally Marissa Wiegler (Mireille Enos) and CIA agent John Carmichael (Dermot Mulroney).

Their mission won’t be easy, especially with fellow assassins Sandy (Áine Rose Daly) and Jules (Gianna Kiehl) on her tale. Hannah also faces a formidable new foe in Gordon Evans (Ray Liotta). What’s more, as she gets closer to her goal of destroying Utrax, Hanna uncovers the true power that stands between her and freedom.

How to With John Wilson season 2 (HBO)

The refreshingly candid, delightfully odd comedy docuseries is back for more “how to” guides on life in New York City. But the show is less service journalism and more of a meditation on the human condition, how we relate to each other and what we owe people of the world. As the filmmaker explores and learns about different issues, Wilson provides narration that is warm and witty, blunt and kind all at the same time.

Season 2’s topics include real estate, wine, parking, battery disposal, dreams and spontaneity. The episodes also capture the city as it comes back to life in the COVID era, juxtaposing abundant face masks and teeming streetscapes.

Selling Sunset season 4 (Netflix)

Forget the glamorous, humongous mansions with their infinity pools and indoor gymnasiums. We’re here for the d-r-a-m-a between the real estate agents of the Oppenheim Group. Season 4 brings some changes to the cast, with Brett Oppenheim leaving to start his own firm and Davina Potratz defecting to the Douglas Elliman agency. In their place are new faces Vanessa Villela and Emma Hernan.

The rest of the OG cast is back though, including Chrishell Stause, Christine Quinn, Mary Fitzgerald, Heather Rae Young, Maya Vander and Jason Oppenheim. Chrishell buys a new house and also helps Shang-Chi star Simu Liu find a pad. Heather gets engaged to HGTV star Tarek El Moussa, while Christine welcomes a baby boy. She’ll be even more competitive when it comes to listings; after all, baby needs a new pair of shoes (and so does mama).

8-Bit Christmas (HBO Max)

Did Nintendo commission this holiday flick?! Sure seems like it. We can picture a boardroom full of executives musing “Let’s remake A Christmas Story, but instead of the kid wanting a Red Ryder, he wants a Nintendo. Genius!” Yeah, it’s something.

The adult Jake Doyle (Neil Patrick Harris) recounts to his young daughter the Christmas when he was 11 and wanted an 8-bit Nintendo more than anything. Young Jake (Winslow Fegley) is ready to do whatever it takes to get his hands on the game console, whether it’s sneaking into a neighbor’s home or crawling through hordes of people at the mall. While the hair and costumes scream the late ‘80s, the vibe doesn’t feel much different from the ongoing PS5 restock craze.

F Is For Family season 5 (Netflix)

If you get tired of the zany, dysfunctional antics of your family this Thanksgiving weekend, you can watch the zany, dysfunctional antics of a different clan — the Murphys of F Is For Family. In the fifth and final season, the adult animated series draws an end to the s-set story of the suburban Pennsylvania family.

The Murphys welcome a new baby to their midst, while Frank (Bill Burr) continues to experience health issues. He’s also grappling with memories of his recently deceased father, Big Bill (Jonathan Banks). Meanwhile, Sue (Laura) is inspired to try to reconcile with her own family. Season 5 brings in some new guest voices, including Patti Lupone, Neil Patrick Harris and Fred Melamed.

While that special saw the kids dealing with masks, social distancing, remote schooling and other issues brought by COVID, this one's different.

Post Covid jumps forward in time to see how the grown-up kids have fared since the pandemic. They reunite when Kyle calls Stan and asks for his friends’ help. The profane foursome must band together once again to solve a major problem.

Original Real World: Los Angeles cast members Beth Anthony, Beth Stolarczyk, David Edwards, Glen Naessens, Irene Berrera-Kearns, Jon Brennan and Tami Roman are all moving back onto the house where they lived in — though fortunately for them, it’s been renovated and updated.

They’ll revisit the events of their season, including the series’ first eviction of a cast member. Back then, Edwards was voted out for pulling the bedcovers off Akbar while she was only in her underwear. Naessens arrived as a replacement. Meanwhile, Anthony joined the house when Berrera-Kearn got married and left. At the time, she faced prejudice as a lesbian, which the cast will also explore in depth.

As he set on a hunt to find about box 16, he finally met Dick in a bar. Dick then clarifies that it is not “Box 16” but “Bach 16”. His last words are nothing but just a song request. Frank’s father just wanted that song to be played at his funeral.

As Logan Roy might say, it's about fucking time. Succession season 2 drew to a close (with Logan's knowing grin) in October Since then, fans have been deprived of the critically acclaimed HBO series that follows the Roy family's Machiavellian power moves and brotherly (and sisterly) backstabbing as they vie for their father's love business. But after an extended hiatus due to COVID, Succession has been spotted filming for the past few months all over New York City (from the Plaza Hotel to Hudson Yards) as well as East Hampton and even Virginia. And now, our favorite dysfunctional family has gone international, with crew revealing they headed to Italy for the tail-end of the season. From release date to plot, here's everything we know so far about Succession season 3.

Where did season 2 of Succession leave off?

Succession season 2 ended with Kendall Roy lobbing a bombshell on his father's dynasty, naming Logan Roy as "a malignant presence, a bully and a liar." The Number One Boy chose to betray media tycoon Logan Roy—who set up his son to take the fall for Waystar Royco's wrongdoings—throwing a major wrench into the patriarch's plans for his heirs. Roman Roy also ascended to COO of the company, while Cousin Greg, clutching those ever-incriminating emails, drew his battle lines and aligned with Kendall.

What's going to happen in season 3?

A statement from HBO teased that season three would be a guns-blazing battle between the Roys. "Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of Season 2, Logan Roy begins Season 3 in a perilous position," the official synopsis reads. "Scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances, tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war."

For more specific details, you'd have to ask Brian Cox. In an interview with The Jess Cagle Show, the actor revealed that he was the first cast member to know what the new season would hold. "I nearly fell off my chair because [show creator Jesse Armstrong] never tells you about the next series. We never knew from episode to episode what was going to happen," Cox said, per The Hollywood Reporter. "It's jolly thrilling. That's all I can say."

An in-depth profile published in August on Vulture revealed a few more vague but still intriguing details about the upcoming season, including why COVID won't play a major factor into the show's plot. Spoiler: It's because the Roys are capital-R Rich. “These are really wealthy people,” actress Sarah Snook (Shiv) said to the outlet. “And unfortunately, none of the world’s really wealthy people were going to be affected by the pandemic.”

It also explains why the Roys were able to easily pick up and decamp to Italy in the third season for, as Vulture describes it, an overly lavish trip in Tuscany complete with regal estate and tense family dinners. Despite how season 2 left off, Kendall and Greg are also in attendance at the Italian villa so we must wonder: Is all well in Roy-land? (Doubtful.) Some of the meager clues we're given about the season: Shiv gives an impromptu speech; Tom gets an interesting phone call; the Roy siblings have a group lunch (even Connor is present); Logan Roy (Brian Cox) has a tense nine-page scene; there's a party that includes a dance floor; and the third season picks up "moments" after the second ended.

"Logan is still in charge of Waystar Royco, and there’s a shareholder revolt on the horizon. The same essential drama repeats itself, with Kendall, Roman, and Shiv trying to outsmart the others at Dad’s game and take over the company," Vulture reports.

In an interview with TV Guide magazine, Armstrong also shared more about the season, specifically how Kendall's decision changes the entire family dynamic. “[Kendall's] liberated by his decision,” Armstrong told the outlet. “He’s made a decisive break [from Logan], and that brings some clarity.” For Roman, “Kendall being effectively gone means there’s a vacancy for No. 1 son,” Armstrong explains. And for Shiv and Tom, their marriage will be tested more than ever before, Armstrong teased, thanks to the Roy civil war “[pulling] them in different directions.”

When does Succession season 3 premiere?

On August 23, HBO confirmed on social media that the show would be back—not in December as expected—but in October And in mid-September, HBO announced that episode 1 of the third season would drop on October

October will be two years to the month that the second season's finale hit the streamer. But the extended length between seasons isn't surprising considering HBO announced in March that preproduction had been delayed due to the pandemic.

How can I watch Succession season 3?

It's time to renew that HBO Max subscription. Succession will be available on HBO and streaming on HBO Max beginning at 9 PM ET on Sunday, October Season 3 will be a shortened nine-episode run (instead of the standard 10) with its finale slated for December

Is there a trailer for Succession season 3?

First, there was an HBO Max teaser that confirmed, yes, Succession is coming before

In June, HBO further teased fans by releasing exactly three seconds of new footage hidden in an ad for HBO Max. While it's very little to go on, we do see a rarity: a smiling Kendall Roy. The clip also shows Logan Roy yelling, "It's war!"—fitting based on the descriptions of the season thus far.

Then, finally, came a glorious minute-plus teaser for the season. In the new footage, we see Logan yelling (what's new?), Kendall giving zero fucks, Shiv making power moves, the FBI raiding Waystar Royco, and Cousin Greg being set up as the fall guy for Kendall's decisions in season 2. Let's not forget the best part of the trailer: Tom screaming at Greg, "Logan is going to fire a million poisonous spiders down your dicky."

Ultimately, the trailer shows us the battle lines being drawn, as each Roy family member is forced to choose sides no matter the casualties. Let the fun begin!

HBO also released a fierce season 3 poster on Instagram which took the "battle lines being drawn" concept to a very literal level. In the image—captioned with, "Make your move"—the Roys walk through an office with a stripe running down the hallway; Logan, Shiv, Tom, and Connor stand on one side with Kendall, Greg, and Roman appearing on the other. It may be the biggest hint yet about how the season will play out.

But eagle-eyed fans spotted something peculiar about the poster: In a version uploaded to Twitter, Shiv and Connor appear behind Kendall and Roman stands behind Logan. A Photoshop mistake or a major hint from HBO about the Roy siblings' general lack of loyalty? More than likely, season 3 will show Shiv and the rest flip-flopping between their brother and dad based on whomever promises the more appealing endgame.

And then, finally, the full trailer arrived. Prepare to go "full fucking beast."

The trailer picks up where season 2 ended, with Greg and Kendall leaving Kendall's explosive press conference. (Kendall's trending on Twitter!) We also see Logan reeling in the aftermath of the conference because, instead of rallying around him, the rest of his family has "disappeared." We then get glimpses of Kendall meeting with a lawyer to figure out how to "take down" his dad without implicating himself or worrying stakeholders—but Logan won't be making that easy. "There's blood in the water. Sharks are coming," Logan teases. Meanwhile, Shiv panics about losing the company, Roman ponders the eventual death of dear ol' dad, Connor makes power moves, Tom tries to reconnect with Shiv, and Greg is, well, classic Greg. Come for the drama, stay for the sweeping vistas of Italy.

If that wasn't enough excitement for you, HBO also shared more promo posters of the main cast, this time pairing our favorite duos together. Just try not to get hot under the collar looking at this shot of Gerri Kellman and Roman Roy:

Is this our unofficial confirmation that Gerri and Roman are together next season?!

Meanwhile, this poster of Tom and Greg is our official confirmation that you can't make a Tomlette without breaking some Greggs.

Who will be in season 3?

All of the show's key players—Brian Cox as dastardly patriarch Logan Roy; Jeremy Strong as Kendall Roy; and Sarah Snook and Matthew Macfadyen as troubled newlyweds Shiv Roy and Tom Wambsgans—have been spotted filming, so it's safe to assume the cast will remain largely intact. Cox, in particular, teased Kieran Culkin's return as his youngest son: "I’m fascinated to see how young Roman comes into play. He showed his mettle at the end of season two. I think he's the hidden gun under the table," Cox told Deadline.

Big things also seem to be coming for Braun as fan-favorite Cousin Greg. The actor posted a photo of himself, clad in a Kendall Roy-esque suit posing in front of a Waystar Royco logo, to Instagram. He captioned it seemingly with a major spoiler, writing, "I am an employee of this company, and that’s about all I can say about that!" How very Greg of him.

Season 3 is also adding some bold-faced names to its roster. Oscar winner Adrien Brody has been tapped to play Josh Aaronson "a billionaire activist investor who becomes pivotal in the battle for the ownership of Waystar," per Variety. The outlet also reports that Big Little Lies star Alexander Skarsgård is joining the cast as Lukas Matsson, "a successful, confrontational tech founder and CEO."

Sanaa Lathan, best known for her role in Love & Basketball, revealed on Instagram that she is also filming for the show. Deadline confirmed the news, explaining Lathan will have a recurring role in Succession's third season as "Lisa Arthur, a high profile well-connected New York lawyer." Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Lathan said: "It was definitely challenging with all of the PPEIn between takes, you have on several layers of PPE. At first, I felt like I was swimming with weights on. But I think, you know, it still worked out."

Deadline added that Korean pop star Jihae Kim will be featured as Berry Schneider, "a leading Public Relations consultant" while Linda Emond is joining the cast as senior White House aide Michelle-Anne Vanderhoven. Hope Davis has also been cast as Sandi Furness, the daughter of Sandy Furness—Logan Roy's longtime rival, played by Larry Pine—for a multi-episode arc. And Vulture revealed that Dasha Nekrasova will be joining the cast as "Comfry."

Ella Rumpf, known for her role in the horror Raw, will also be joining the cast in a guest spot, Variety announced in August. We don't know much about what her role will entail, but we do know that her part of the season was filmed in Italy, and that Rumpf filmed there over the summer of

Cathy Yan is slated to direct at least one episode of the season. Yan announced the news on Twitter writing, "V happy to be working on my favorite show." And Hustlers director Lorene Scafaria seems to be involved as well, posting a photo from set to Instagram, captioned "family time w/ the Roys."

What do the reviews say about season 3?

The reviews are in, and it's official: the third season of Succession is everything you dreamed and more. Writes Lucy Mangan in The Guardian: "That’s the full Baskin Robbins 31 flavors of fuck right there." And Rolling Stone's Alan Sepinwall wrote of the show, "[It] remains a key fictional text explaining how we got into these various messes, but also a marvelous occasional reward for all of us stuck living through them." Vulture calls the season "gloriously nasty" adding that "the writing drips with more poison, and the cast seems to relish more than ever the opportunity to disseminate its toxins." Reviewer Jen Chaney also notes that while the season doesn't truly its stride until episode 3, it definitely makes a case as one of the funniest shows on television. Fuck yes.

Will there be a season 4 of Succession?

On October 26, HBO officially greenlit a fourth season of the family drama (what was long suspected and teased already).

Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO Programming, said in a statement obtained by Variety, “With each season of Succession, Jesse Armstrong has continued to surpass our wildest expectations, pulling us deeper into the Roy family’s inner sanctum with indelible wit, humanity, and precision. This season is undoubtedly no exception, and we couldn’t be more excited for all that’s in store in this next season ahead.”

But rumors are swirling that the fourth season could be the series' last. Speaking with U.K. newspaper The TimesSuccession writer and executive producer Georgia Pritchett revealed, "I think the maximum would be five seasons, but possibly more like four." She continued, teasing that showrunner Jesse Armstrong and the creative team has "a good end in sight."

And in a recent interview with Variety, Armstrong himself said he already has "a pitch" for how he envisions the series finale to unfold, though he played more coy about when exactly that may be. “All I know is there’s a promise in the ‘Succession’ title, and it can’t go on forever,” he added.
